Wabi 2.0 is now available to everyone, combining an AI assistant with custom apps
Wabi 2.0 has opened to all users and is free for now. The personal AI assistant organizes tasks into topic-based threads with custom apps. According to the founder, it automatically creates initial threads and apps after users connect their email.
Wabi made Wabi 2.0 available to all users on Monday. Access previously required an invitation distributed through the platform X. The service is free for now; the company has not yet decided on a business model.
The new version takes the original tool for creating apps from text prompts toward becoming a personal AI assistant. It organizes tasks and long-term goals into separate topic-based threads, where users can create and use custom apps, for example to track their weight or find nearby events for children. According to founder Eugenia Kuyda, the assistant automatically creates initial threads and apps after users connect their email; users can add more through their own requests.
Threads can be shared as group conversations, with selected personal information made available within them. According to Kuyda, access is limited to individual conversations, and participants can see requests for personal information. She says the service runs entirely in the cloud, and most user data is stored in the USA.
Why it matters
For joint planning, a conversation, a calendar and purpose-built apps can be brought together in a single topic-based thread. Practical uses include planning family activities or choosing events together. When involving other people, it is important to decide which personal information to make available to them in that thread.

What this means
For individuals
For a long-term personal goal, you can keep a separate conversation and have an app created within it, for example to track your weight, instead of continually searching for information in one long conversation.
