TrollWall AI acquires its competitor Elv.ai in the field of online content moderation

The Slovak company TrollWall AI has acquired its competitor Elv.ai, which focuses on moderating discussions and social networks using a combination of artificial intelligence and human moderators. The transaction price was not disclosed. The acquisition came half a year after TrollWall AI, according to available data, secured an investment of 800 thousand euros.

The Elv.ai company established itself on the Czech market two years ago, when it began monitoring comments on social networks for the Economia publishing house, Prima TV, Evropa 2, or Refresher. Its clients also included football club Sparta, the Czech Police, Slovak Markíza, Forbes, Heureka, and the European Commission. According to the company's data, it has processed more than 80 million comments since its founding; in July alone it was 2.3 million posts, of which it identified toxic content in more than 500 thousand.

TrollWall AI develops a tool that automatically detects and hides toxic comments on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube, can analyze sentiment in discussions, and helps prepare responses. It operates in 17 countries and, according to available data, counts the International Ice Hockey Federation, Ringier, or O2 among its clients. Following the acquisition, Elv.ai's clients will now use the TrollWall AI system.
