The Claude Duet app from Anthropic is available as a standalone app for iOS and Android and through the Claude.ai website. Access to the research preview is through a waitlist for Pro and Max subscribers in the USA. Team and Enterprise plans are not yet included.
The app targets professionals and small businesses and uses the Claude Opus 5.5 model. According to Anthropic, it prepares morning briefings, monitors connected services and handles tasks such as scheduling meetings, creating dashboards or preparing reminders for unpaid invoices. The company says it supports more than 6 000 integrations and add-ons from the Claude Marketplace catalog. Tasks run on a dedicated cloud computer with a browser, so the user's device does not need to stay on.
According to the company, before sending a message, making a payment, signing a document or deleting data, the app shows the intended action and requests approval. Securities trading and transfers between accounts are prohibited even with approval. However, users cannot watch browser activity in real time.
Anthropic acknowledges that the app may misinterpret a conversation or the urgency of a message. It checks connected accounts only once every few hours and may miss events between checks. Background checks count toward subscription limits shared with other Claude products.
Why it matters
Running on a cloud computer allows users to assign a task and turn off their own device. However, checks at intervals of several hours limit its usefulness for urgent events. Assessing its benefits also requires taking into account that ongoing monitoring of services uses up shared subscription limits.

Two audiences, two different impacts
What this means
For individuals
A professional with access can receive a morning briefing from connected services and focus on items the app flags. However, given the acknowledged errors in assessing urgency, this briefing requires their own judgment.
For a business
For small businesses, the app offers to prepare administrative tasks, such as invoice reminders, but according to the company, sending messages and making payments still require human approval. Availability through individual Pro and Max plans does not yet include deployment through Team and Enterprise.
