Anthropic closed the incident of 14 August 2026: Claude API, Claude Code and Claude Cowork were unavailable for 24 minutes (20:14–20:38 UTC). The cause had been identified and the fix completed by 20:44 UTC, with full recovery confirmed at 21:58 UTC.
Users could not reach status.claude.com because of an invalid SSL certificate. The incident was reported on 14 August at 07:58 UTC and resolved at 10:53 UTC.
The incident involving increased errors in OpenAI's API, Codex and Work Mode has been resolved. All affected services have fully recovered.
