SpaceXSI combines X Premium, Grok and Cursor in a single subscription
SpaceXSI is introducing The X Subscription with X Premium, Grok and Cursor. It offers a free plan and paid tiers at 8, 30, 100 and 200 dollars per month. The latest Grok models are available on the Premium plan and above; the option for existing customers to switch is being rolled out gradually.
SpaceXSI is introducing The X Subscription, a combined subscription. The offering includes Grok for AI chat with voice, image, video and API support, the agentic tool AI Bot, Cursor for programming, and paid X Premium features such as a verification badge, creator tools and fewer ads.
Five plans are available: a free plan, Plus at 8 dollars per month, Premium at 30 dollars per month, Super at 100 dollars per month and Ultra at 200 dollars per month. AI usage limits increase with the plan tier. The free option provides limited chat and agent use; the latest Grok models require a Premium plan or higher.
Existing customers can keep their current subscription or switch to the combined offering through the subscription settings on X. The option to switch is being rolled out gradually. According to the company, a comparable plan in the new offering costs the same as or less than the existing X Premium+ subscription.
Why it matters
A free option with limited usage is available for occasional chat. For more intensive work, the increasing limits across the plans and the requirement for a Premium plan or higher for the latest Grok models are the deciding factors. Users who combine chat and programming can therefore choose a combined subscription based on the scale of their work.
Two audiences, two different impacts
What this means
For individuals
If you use X Premium and Grok AI chat, you can now make a single subscription choice for both. You can keep your current plan.
For a business
A combined subscription offering is being introduced for teams using Cursor and the Grok API. Monthly prices and AI usage limits under the chosen plan are important for development budgets.
