OpenAI has added the Czech tool Deepnote as a native integration in ChatGPT Work
OpenAI has added the Czech startup Deepnote to the native tools in ChatGPT Work. An AI agent can thus create and run notebooks in Deepnote and analyze company data without exporting it from the platform.
OpenAI has added Deepnote, a Czech startup from Jakub Jurových, to the native integrations in ChatGPT Work. An AI agent in ChatGPT can thus directly create and run notebooks in Deepnote, check their outputs and work with existing analyses without the user exporting data from Deepnote or uploading it elsewhere.
According to the description, the integration works by allowing a user in ChatGPT to ask, for example, why company revenue fell last quarter – the chatbot then analyzes the data through Deepnote, creates charts and shows which parts of the business are behind the change.
Deepnote is available as a plugin and, according to the publicly available OpenAI catalog, is currently the only Czech project with its own native integration in ChatGPT Work. It thus joins global data platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, Power BI or Tableau.
The startup Deepnote was established in 2019 and initially developed an environment for collaborative work with data, later focusing on collaboration between people and AI agents. It went through the US accelerator Y Combinator and moved its headquarters to the USA, but retains its development team and European headquarters in Prague. In 2022, the company received an investment of 20 million dollars from the funds Index Ventures and Accel.
Why it matters
The integration allows ChatGPT Work users to work with data stored in Deepnote directly through an AI agent – without exporting, switching tools or manually copying data, speeding up common analytical tasks such as finding the causes of a drop in revenue. For companies, it also sends a signal regarding data security, because the analysis takes place without leaving the Deepnote platform.
