Meta expands the AI agent Muse with connectors for small business owners as part of Meta One
Meta has expanded the AI agent Muse with dozens of connectors (Instagram Professional, Facebook Pages, Meta Ads, Canva) and support for custom connectors via API for small business owners. This follows the September launch of the Meta One subscription with Core ($7.99/month) and Premium ($19.99/month) plans.
Meta has expanded the AI agent Muse, which has been helping with tasks in Instagram, Facebook and WhatsApp since the beginning of September, with a new set of connectors and skills aimed at small business owners. Muse for Small Business can connect an Instagram Professional account, Facebook Pages and Meta Ads in just a few clicks and immediately understands the nature of the business, its product range and brand style. According to the company, Muse also supports dozens of other tools that businesses commonly use, including a partnership with Canva for working with templates and graphics. Support for custom connectors via API is also available for services that Meta does not yet support. According to the company, basic Muse features remain free, while expanded usage is included in paid plans.
Muse for Small Business follows the launch of the Meta One subscription in mid-September, which brought over 50 new features to Instagram, Facebook, WhatsApp and Meta AI. Alongside the individual Instagram Plus, Facebook Plus and WhatsApp Plus plans, the company introduced the Core ($7.99/month) and Premium ($19.99/month) bundle plans with expanded access to AI image and video generation (Muse Image, Muse Video) and the Restyle editing tool. For businesses and creators, it offers four plans – Essential (from $14.99/month), Advanced (from $49.99/month), Expert (from $149/month) and Max (from $499/month) – which include access to Meta Business Agent, among other features.
Meta is launching paid AI plans following its investment of $14.3 billion in Scale AI last year. According to data from Appfigures, the earlier Instagram Plus and Facebook Plus plans are growing significantly – daily revenue for Instagram reaches approximately $1.2 million (an increase of 475 % week-on-week) and for Facebook approximately $528 thousand (an increase of 143 % week-on-week).
Why it matters
For small business owners on Instagram and Facebook, this means the ability to automate some marketing and customer communication by connecting an AI agent directly to their business accounts and tools such as Canva, without having to create a new account or install a separate app. For Meta, it is another step in monetizing its investment in AI (Scale AI) and expanding paid subscriptions, whose revenue is growing rapidly according to available data.
