Jet Investment invested in AppNava, a startup that uses AI to predict the behavior of mobile app users
The Czech fund Jet Investment invested 1.8 million dollars in the US company AppNava, which uses AI to predict the behavior and economic value of mobile app users. The entire funding round reached 2.3 million dollars and was led by the Turkish fund Arya Women.
The Brno-based investment group Jet Investment, founded by Igor Fait, has invested in the US company AppNava. The company uses artificial intelligence to predict the behavior of mobile app and game users – according to the company, it can estimate a user's future economic value, likelihood of churn and monetization potential in real time from their very first interaction with an app. According to the source, the platform integrates with major analytics and advertising platforms, including Meta and Google, and continuously adapts to changes in user behavior.
AppNava was founded in 2022 and has since operated in Europe, Asia and the USA, with the USA as its main market and Czechia, along with Central Europe, expected to be among its key areas for expansion. Kamil Levinský, executive director of the Jet Venture 1 fund at Jet Investment, explains the investment by saying that, in his view, changes in user privacy protection have reduced the effectiveness of existing prediction methods based on precise tracking of individual users.
Jet Investment invested 1.8 million dollars (over 38 million Kč) in AppNava, the total funding round reached 2.3 million dollars, and the Turkish fund Arya Women participated as the lead investor. This is the eleventh investment for Jet Investment; the fund's portfolio also includes the US company Hermetiq, the German company Phantasma Labs and earlier Czech investments in Boost.space and DecisionRules.
Why it matters
For developers of mobile apps and games, this signals the emergence of another tool that aims to replace existing user tracking (restricted by new privacy rules) with AI-based prediction – estimating a user's value, churn risk and monetization potential without the need for detailed tracking. For the Czech investment market, this is another example of domestic capital participating in an international AI startup at an early stage of growth.
