Czech startup PangeAI won Nápad roku and received an investment of 300 thousand Kč
Startup PangeAI, which is building a geospatial model of Earth for AI agents, won Nápad roku among 189 entrants and received 300 thousand Kč from JSK Investments.
Startup PangeAI won Nápad roku, the oldest startup competition in the Czech Republic, and as the winner among 189 participating companies received an investment of 300 thousand Kč from JSK Investments, run by the married couple Kijonek. The winner was chosen by twenty entrepreneurs and investors, who judged the company to have the greatest potential among all entrants in this edition of the competition.
PangeAI is developing its own model of planet Earth in a form that AI agents can understand. It combines satellite imagery with drone, sensor, climate and internal company data, which, according to the company, should enable AI agents to answer questions about risk, infrastructure, land or assets. Founder Marek Miltner, who holds a doctorate from Stanford, primarily targets insurers, property developers and energy companies.
According to the source, the startup previously received an investment of 1 million dollars from international and Czech investors, which it announced alongside its launch at the end of last year, followed by an unplanned investment from global HR company Deel.
Other startups recognised in the competition included Ranketta (AI commerce for online retailers), Elredo Voice (audiobook production and distribution for publishers) and Lab On Card (infectious disease diagnostics on a pocket-sized card).
Why it matters
This illustrates how AI startups focused on geospatial data are funded in the Czech Republic and provides a concrete example of a product intended to enable companies in insurance, property development and energy to use AI agents for risk and asset analysis based on satellite and sensor data.
