AWS describes generating presentations from source documents using Amazon Bedrock AgentCore
AWS has published a guide and a public repository for a system that generates PowerPoint presentations from source documents. An orchestration agent selects tools for summarization and document generation; according to internal testing by the authors, processing takes less than 90 seconds.
AWS has published an implementation guide for automatically generating PowerPoint presentations from company documents, such as quarterly reports and market analyses. The article includes a public code repository. According to internal testing by the authors, the system completes processing in less than 90 seconds; this result has not been independently verified.
A single orchestration agent runs in Amazon Bedrock AgentCore and uses the Strands Agents framework to select tools for summarization or document generation. Claude Sonnet 4.6 generates the content. RAG handles source material retrieval through Amazon Bedrock Knowledge Bases: Amazon Titan Text Embeddings v2 creates vector representations of documents, and Amazon OpenSearch Serverless stores them and retrieves relevant passages. A containerized function in AWS Lambda assembles the presentations, and the finished files are stored in Amazon S3.
A REST API built on .NET 8 enables integration with company applications. The design includes encryption, access control and content filtering through Amazon Bedrock Guardrails. The authors also note that the data endpoint for the collection in Amazon OpenSearch Serverless must remain publicly accessible so that Amazon Bedrock Knowledge Bases can access it; IAM rules protect access to the data. Details are available in the source article.
Why it matters
The guide shows a concrete path from retrieving source material in company documents to creating and downloading a presentation file. For teams that regularly prepare client presentations, it offers an implementation pattern whose speed and quality they can verify using their own source material. The internal result of under 90 seconds does not, by itself, demonstrate the same performance in another environment.
Two audiences, two different impacts
What this means
For individuals
Developers get a concrete example of how to divide presentation generation among an orchestration agent, source material retrieval and specialized tools, including public code they can use to verify the implementation themselves.
For a business
A company can use the REST API to integrate presentation generation into its existing process for preparing client materials. However, the design requires an assessment of access to company data, particularly the publicly accessible data endpoint protected by IAM rules.
