Anthropic has deployed Claude Mythos 5 in the Claude Security vulnerability scanner for Enterprise customers
Anthropic has deployed Claude Mythos 5 in Claude Security, which scans code for vulnerabilities and suggests fixes approved by a human. The beta is for Enterprise customers, and security partners serving hospitals, utilities and banks are also adopting the model.
Anthropic has deployed its most powerful model, Claude Mythos 5, in the security tool Claude Security, which scans source code for vulnerabilities and suggests fixes. The tool is available in public beta for Enterprise customers. According to the company, scanning counts as regular token usage. Each finding includes a CWE category (a standard classification of software weaknesses), a severity rating and a suggested fix, with every fix requiring human approval.
The company is also deploying Claude Mythos 5 in security products from partners that protect hospitals, utilities and banks. End users do not interact with the model directly; they only see results, such as suggested fixes. According to the company, several partners have been using Claude Opus and are expected to switch to Claude Mythos 5. Security vendors can apply for partner access.
According to Anthropic, Claude Mythos is its most capable model, particularly for cybersecurity tasks, which is also why it is not widely available. According to the company, the deployment aims to strengthen defenders without giving attackers new AI-powered capabilities.
Why it matters
For companies with Claude Enterprise, this is a tool that can speed up the detection of vulnerabilities in code and their classification according to CWE without automatically changing production code – approval of a fix remains with a human, so the risk of automatically deploying an incorrect fix is limited. For security vendors protecting critical infrastructure (hospitals, utilities, banks), the switch from Claude Opus to Claude Mythos 5 means potentially more powerful analysis without end users having to change how they work, because they do not communicate with the model directly.
